Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro Smartphone Overview
The phone has a 6.78-inch touchscreen display with a refresh rate of 165 Hz and a resolution of 1080×2448 pixels (FHD+) when it was launched on July 5, 2022.
The Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor to protect against scratches and scratch marks.
It features 18GB of RAM, runs Android 12, and is powered by a removable 6000mAh battery.
The Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro is a proprietary fast-charge phone.
The Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro has a triple camera setup on the rear, with a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel secondary camera.
The rear camera setup is auto-focused enabled. The Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro runs ROG UI and Zen UI on Android 12, and is equipped with a single front-facing camera with a 12-megapixel sensor.
The Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro is available in a Storm White color and measures 173.00 x 77.00 x 10.30 mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 239.00 grams.
Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, GPS, Bluetooth v5.20, NFC, USB Type-C, and Wi-Fi Direct are among the connectivity options available on the Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro.
Sensors included are an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and in-display fingerprint sensor.

Striking and Bold Design
The ROG Phone 6 Pro is no exception. Well, there is a “06” imprinted on it, indicating it is the 6th generation ROG Phone, and the words “Dare to Play” are bold.
The smartphone is big and weighs 239 grams, making it not one of the most pocketable.
Remember the ROG Vision display on the back? It is now a little bigger and better place, and it features as many as 60 new graphics for different scenarios.
The camera module protrudes slightly, but the smartphone does not wobble much on flat surfaces. Storm White is the only color available, and the ROG Phone 6 Pro is the first ROG Phone to have an IP rating — IPX4, to be exact.
Bright and Fast display
The 6.78-inch AMOLED display on the ROG Phone 6 Pro is extremely fast, with a refresh rate of 165Hz and a touch sampling rate of 720Hz.
It is bright, with HDR10+ certification and a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, and even bright with a peak brightness of 1200 nits.
The top bezel is still chunky, which might be a problem for some, but it makes gaming easier since it prevents accidental touches on the edges.
On the front, the smartphone comes with Gorilla Glass Victus protection, but do consider using a screen protector.
Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro: Gaming Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset
During our brief time with the ROG Phone 6, we played several graphically intensive games such as Genshin Impact, Call of Duty: Mobile, and PUBG New State without any noticeable stutters or intense heating.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset coupled with 18GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage could handle any task thrown at it – from tough games to mundane tasks – this one handled everything like a champ.
The ROG Phone 6 Pro is not a slouch when it comes to performance; there is also an X-mode for enhanced performance, but we didn’t get to use it much due to the short time we had.

50MP IMX766 primary camera
The new ROG Phone 6 Pro features the main 2020 staple camera, the 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, which has a proven track record.
The other two cameras are a 13MP ultrawide and a 5MP macro camera.
Although we appreciate the fact that Asus has finally paid attention to optics and is finally using the new sensors almost after two years, we still are concerned about the lack of OIS.
But a person buying a phone for gaming might not place much importance on cameras.
Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro: 6,000mAh battery with 65W charging support
The ROG Phone 6 Pro is powered by a 6,000mAh battery divided into two halves of 3,000mAh.
And the smartphone is equipped with 65W fast wired charging support, which may not be extreme by today’s standards but is pretty quick for a phone.
However, Asus has included in the box a 30W charging adapter, which is unacceptably low for a smartphone priced at Rs89,999 and that too for a gaming phone. Fortunately, USB PD 3.0 is supported, so you can quickly charge the smartphone with the right charger.

Asus ROG Phone 6 Smartphone: Wrap Up
The AeroActive Cooler 6, which reduces smartphone temperature by 25 degrees celsius, was also revealed by Asus in addition to the new phone.
The cooler adds four additional physical triggers, and X-mode is renamed X-mode+.
And then there’s the ROG Kunai gamepad. The company also unveiled the ROG Cetra True Wireless and Cetra True Wireless Pro earbuds, but they won’t be available in India.
