The Infinix Hot 12 Play was launched in India on Monday 23rd May 2022.
The new Infinix phone is available in four different color options.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a Unisoc T610 SoC and has 64GB of built-in storage, and its battery is 6,000mAh.
The handset also lets users extend the 4GB of RAM by using the inbuilt storage that is unutilized.
Infinix Hot 12 Play mobile was released with a 6.82-inch touchscreen display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a resolution of 720×1,640 pixels (HD+).
The Infinix Hot 12 Play runs Android 11 and has a 6,000mAh battery. The Infinix Hot 12 Play has a 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a single 8-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies.
It runs XOS 10, based on Android 11, and is a dual-SIM smartphone.
The Infinix Hot 12 Play measures 170.47 x 77.60 x 8.32 mm (height, width, and thickness), and is 190.90 grams in weight. It was released in Racing Black, Horizon Blue, Champagne Gold, and Daylight Green colors.
Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G are among the connectivity options on the Infinix Hot 12 Play.
The phone includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor.
The smartphone supports face unlock. However, as of today 28th May 2022, the price of Infinix Hot 12 Play starts at Rs. 8,499 in India.

Infinix Hot 12 Play Review
The Infinix Hot 12 Play has some pros, from fingerprint scanning to a 6,000-mAh battery, but Infinix has made some compromises in the smartphone that could be disappointing to some users.

Infinix Hot 12 Play Display
The phone has a 6.82-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1640 x 720 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 180Hz touch sampling rate.
It has a 20.5:9 aspect ratio, 480 nits’ brightness, and a 90.66% screen-to-body ratio.
The phone’s frame and back are made of plastic, while the front side is protected with Panda Glass.
Infinix Hot 12 Play Camera
The Infinix Hot 12 Play has a dual rear camera setup with an LED flash built into the rectangular module, which includes a 13MP primary lens with f/1.8 aperture and a depth lens, while the punch-hole display includes an 8MP Selfie Camera Lens with f/2.0 aperture. T
The 13MP primary sensor takes some good shots with good detail and some dynamic range issues, but it suffers in night photography and sometimes even in good lighting conditions.
The 8MP selfie camera can take some decent pictures, but not really great.
Performance
The phone is backed by an octa-core Unisoc T610 processor paired with an Arm Mali-G52 MP2 GPU, and has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
The device comes with Android 11-based XOS 10 skins from the get-go.
The Infinix Hot 12 Play also has extended availability, but the Virtual RAM feature is a gimmick that is intended only for marketing.
Battery
Infinix Hot 12 Play includes a 6,000mAh battery with 10W charging support and the phone ships with a 10W charger in the box.
The battery can easily last a day or more, as it features a 90Hz HD+ panel, but charging takes hours since only 10W charging support is available.
Overall, the battery life of the phone is good, but Infinix should have included faster-charging capabilities.
Audio
The device does not have stereo speakers, but Infinix has provided a single speaker, which is loud.
The smartphone has a 3.5 mm Headphone Jack for connecting wired earphones, but it does not have a secondary noise-canceling microphone, so another party on the call may have difficulty hearing your voice during the call.
Given the phone’s cost, the audio and call quality are overall decent.
